Outdoor stool Vela 698/S · Potocco

The Vela 698/S Outdoor stool by Potocco is a contemporary design piece created by Hannes Wettstein (2006), intended for both outdoor and indoor use.

It is characterized by a lightweight painted metal tube frame with sled-style legs, which provides stability and a clean, elegant silhouette. The seat and backrest are crafted using an artisanal weave of nautical rope or PVC, giving it texture, visual flexibility, and a strong material identity.

It is part of the Vela family, a collection that explores the relationship between craftsmanship and industrial design, where hand-weaving wraps around the metal structure. In its 698/S version, the stool adapts to intermediate or high counter configurations, commonly used in contract projects such as terraces, hotels, or restaurants due to its durability and lightweight aesthetic.

Its formal language conveys a sense of Mediterranean lightness and functional sophistication, integrating into the environment without visually overwhelming it.
